Blade Wars is a free-to-play massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) first released in China in 2007. It was developed and published by Changyou.com . Blade Wars is inspired by martial arts and takes place in a fantasy universe where three playable breeds, the Abyssals, Humans, and Immortals battle for dominance in PVP encounters.

Aion: Upheaval

Aion: The Tower of Eternity ( Korean : 아이온: 영원 의 탑 ) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released by NCSOFT . The game combines PvP and PvE (a concept the developers call PvPvE ) in a fantasy game environment. As of May 20, 2009, Aion had 3.5 million subscribers in Asia. [5] AION’s first major pack was released to North America and Europe on September 7, 2010 under the name AION: Assault on Balaurea. On February 29, 2012 AION changed publisher in Europe while North American Free Truly launched on April 11, 2012 with no restrictions. Aion’s second major expansion was released in North America on June 26, 2013 under the name “Aion: Dark Betrayal”. Its most recent expansion was launched on July 13, 2016 under the name “Aion: Echoes of Eternity”. [6]

Aura Kingdom

Aura Kingdom , also known as Fantasy Frontier Online ( Chinese :幻想 神 域 ) in Taiwan and Hong Kong and Innocent World in Japan, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game made by Taiwanese game developer X-Legend . In Japan it was originally called Gensō Shin’iki ( 幻想 神 域 , lit .: “Fantasy Sanctuary”) , but after a significant update the name was changed to Gensō Shin’iki: Cross to Fate ( 幻想 神 域 ~ Cross to Fate ~ ). Other notable games developed by X-Legend are Grand Fantasia and Eden Eternal . [2]

Asheron’s Call

Asheron’s Call (AC) was a fantasy MMORPG for Windows- based PCs developed and published by Turbine Entertainment Software . Though it was published by the Turbine team (with Microsoft’s extensive assistance), it was published as a Microsoft title until 2004. Asheron’s Call was set on the island of the continent and several smaller islands and archipelagos on the fictional planet of Auberean. The game was played in a large, seamless 3D world at which characters (or avatars) at a time.

ArchLord

ArchLord is a 3D fantasy MMORPG developed by NHN Corporation and Codemasters Online Gaming (COG). The game was released in March 2005 in South Korea and October 2006 inNorth America and Europe , receiving poor reviews from the gaming press. In August 2007, ArchLord became free-to-play to coincide with the release of the first episodic expansion pack,Season of Siege . The second expansion, Spirits Awakening , was released in August 2008. From August 2009, Webzenpublished Archlord in additional countries where Codemasters did not have rights to distribute the game. From October 3, 2009, Webzhen maintained Archlord globally, offering the seventh expansion, called Heaven & Hell . On December 6, 2013, Webzen announced the closing of ArchLord , the game has been shut down since January 1, 2014. [1]

ArcheAge

Development

Initial development of ArcheAge began in 2011, and closed testing of the game took place over two years. Before finally being released in Korea on January 15, 2013, the game went through five closed beta tests and one open beta test. [1] In 2012, an XL Games studio representative said he expected ArcheAge to be released in North America towards the end of 2013, or the beginning of 2014. [2] In 2014 a newly hired CM stated the game will be transitioning into beta phase and will release for North America and the EU in 2014. [3] Announcements made in July, indicate the launch of the beta phase for July 17, 2014. [4] On April 24, 2014, Trionstarted to offer founder packs , for early alpha and beta access. [5]
